Milkshakes are kind of nostalgic for me. When I was younger, my Dad would often take me to Friendly’s which is a 50’s diner themed restaurant chain on the east coast here in the U.S. It was founded in Springfield, MA which is where I’m from, and it’s famous for it’s ice-cream and “Fribbles” (super-thick milkshakes). The Fribbles always came in one of those tall soda fountain glasses and a long ice-cream spoon, because you certainly couldn’t sip it through a straw 😛
Ok, so every now and then I get a pretty strong craving for one of those super thick-mostly ice cream-800 calorie kind of milkshakes. I’ve had this craving for about a week now and it’s taken everything in me to resist going out to find one, so I figured why can’t I satisfy my craving and not feel guilty about it? I was pretty certain I could come up with a combination using clean ingredients. It took a little brainstorming and behold! This yummy creation was born! This “milkshake” is sweet, thick, and creamy which is exactly what I wanted…and it’s healthy, too.
