Coconut + Rose Bath Bomb Review | The Atlanta Bath Company (Video)

As I mentioned in a previous post, setting aside a little “you” time every day is a great way to manage stress levels and to practice self-love. In my opinion, it is an essential part of a person’s overall wellness. I relax in a number of ways…sometimes it’s curled up on the couch with my cat watching Netflix, other days it’s sipping on some tea out on the patio. But whenever I’m feeling really stressed, anxious, or just had a rough day, a relaxing night of pampering usually does the trick.

Since I hadn’t had a “pamper night” in quite a while, I enjoyed one last night by playing soft music, lighting some candles, and soaking in the tub. The bath had been filled with the sweet aroma of coconut & rose thanks to a luxurious bath bomb from The Atlanta Bath Company.

The Atlanta Bath Company defines itself as “….An artisan line of small handcrafted and organic bath and skincare products.” What drew me to want to try their products was their mutual view and practice of using only natural ingredients to nourish the skin. They pride themselves on formulating products that don’t contain anything unnecessary or harmful…a plus in my book!

On their site you can find an array of both elegant and whimsical bath bombs, scrubs, bubble bars, soaps, oils, face masks, and they even have a few items fit for the fellas too. All natural – all cruelty free.

The product I chose to try was the Coconut + Rose Bath Bomb, which happens to be their signature one. As you can see from the photo it’s a pure white color, dotted with real red rose petals. Because it’s white, it doesn’t change the bath water a funky color though the company does offer colored bath bombs which I would imagine would do that, if that is what you’re looking for. To me I was perfectly ok with there being no color, I think the simplicity of it is what makes this one so beautiful and I was more eager to see how it made my skin feel. As far as scent goes, It smells incredible…I noticed the yummy tropical coconut scent as soon as I opened the package it had arrived in.

The ingredients include: Sodium bicarbonate, Citric acid, Corn starch, Coconut milk, Organic coconut oil, Epsom salt, Clay, Fragrance, Rose petals.

Here’s a short video I filmed of my experience:

Before trying this one, I had never used a bath bomb before so it was really exciting to finally try one of my own. It dissolved quickly under the running water, leaving the tub filled with lingering rose petals and leaves that surrounded me as I soaked. Upon getting out and drying off, I noticed the coconut milk & oil did indeed do their job…they made my skin feel moisturized, soft, and smell great. That’s what I was hoping for 🙂

Overall, I think they’ve made a quality product. The only downside I feel I should mention is that the price is a little steep considering it’s on the smaller side…this one is listed at $10 on their website. Personally, I think it’s worth the money to know that I’m using a handcrafted product, made with natural/organic ingredients and that is free from anything potentially harmful. It really comes down to preference and what you’re looking for in a bath bomb!

*I received this product free through Tomoson (but was provided by The Atlanta Bath Company) for my honest review and testing purposes.

  1. I love how you take product pictures. Their packaging is so simple I love it. Coconut and Rose is such a good combination for scents. I actually make a diy sugar scrub with coconut oil and with roses my husband sometimes gets me. It’s pretty great. Lovely post doll!
